Sorry I havent posted anything in a while. Rowan is walking really well now, I hardly ever see him crawl anymore, however we have many cuts and bruises from all of the falling.

His communication has been the neatest thing to watch here lately. He is babbling so many words, well they seem to be close to words, so we assume that he is saying certain things. You know how that goes, right? He points to everything in sight. ~For the past few months, maybe more, he has embarrassed me by putting his fingers in anyone's mouth, even strangers that talk to him. Now he points at them and then puts his finger in their mouth!!!

We have also noticed an increase amount of affection that he gives to us. He will come over to us and lay his forehead against yours, close his eyes and then lean in for a kiss, mouth wide open! We have even seen him do it to Rocky. Its a picture I am dying to get.

Here are a couple of my favorite recent pictures!

Oklahoma State Match

2nd Place!!!! That is where Wes placed in his new tougher class (Expert), and not far behind friend John Zane, who took first. Yeah Baby! He has worked really hard this year and it is paying off. I tried to get more pictures of him to share what it is like to watch him shoot. I wasn't too happy with my pictures, but here are a few ones.

It really was a neat match. They were creative in how they set up the stages and made it really fun to watch. They had a stage indoors that I wish I could have seen, but I had to wait outside.
The weather was cooler and even though it rained, it was nice to not be toasting in the sun.

On this stage, Wes used the tree as cover a lot different than everyone else. This paid off with better accuracy, faster transitions between targets which resulted in much faster times and more down zeros.

A Climber!

Ok, last one tonight. I am zipping through these so I can go to bed.

Rowan is climbing like he is not afraid of anything. This is funny, but scary too. I am now on a scavenger hunt for something safe for him to climb, that can fit in the house, so he doesn't use the entertainment center as his gym.

We went to one of those fast food gyms. I know its not to sanitary but they are fun! He got a bath as soon as we got home.
He climbed up that thing like he was 6 years old! And when he got to the top and saw the opening to the slide...he dashed for it with such excitement. It was difficult to keep up, especially because I was a little tall for the thing and I am not used to crawling around!

Now, maybe its no big deal, but I was one proud momma!

Lifelong Pals

I know this pic is blurry, but I had to share. These two are close, its amazing really. When Rowan gets tired he often will go and lay on Rocky to relax. Rowan will also take Rocky's toy and throw it hoping Rocky will play with him. What a pair!

Summer Fun!

Rowan loves it outside, he can be upset and the moment you walk outside he gets a smile on his face. Combine outside with water and you have a happy boy. His cousin Jackson gave him a new pool and he is enjoying it. I had quite a bit of water in the pool and he was diving trying to get under the water. He ended up having just about 2-3 inches in the end because I was so nervous.

Here he has so much skin so soft on him that his hair stayed like this for 2 days!

Chillin' with Grama!
