Our Silly Toddler

I will tell you that I am amazed at how much Rowan has changed. Everything from how he sleeps, to how he prefers his food. He is a lot harder to trick into eating certain things. And not to mention how he thinks that he can do anything, he bosses everyone around. His talking is getting clearer and he has an diverse vocabulary that he shouts at a regular basis. He will have an entire conversation with you, whether you understand or not. However, there is a lot that you can understand. We were at Wal-Mart the other day at the pharmacy. The lady behind the counter was talking to Rowan and then she handed me my package and Rowan said "Thank you". She said, "Your Welcome". I was so excited that a stranger finally understood his Thank you! I was such a proud momma!!!!

I thought I would share a couple of fun photos of Rowan.

Do you think we need an intervention? I continue to hide them and some how he finds one, or two! I think he has them stashed through out the house!

Blueberries! He loves them, a bath is nessesary afterwards.

Isn't he handsome?

He was playing in his room, and he had no idea that I was there. I was so glad that he chose a book over toys.

Poor Rocky Dog!

Christmas

Well we celebrated Christmas over and over this past week. We really had a wonderful time with all of the family. We really slacked on some of the pictures, there was just so much going on. We went to MeMe's house on Tuesday, Granny and Grandad's on Wednesday and Christmas dinner at our house on Thursday. I am still cleaning up from it all! Here are a few fun pictures...

Grandpa John got Rowan his first Big Wheel!

Christmas Morning didnt start until after 9am, every year they get older the earlier it gets, so I will take 9am! He loved his table, he was still half asleep but he got right into the chair.

Santa got him a toy gun. Rowan knew exactly how to play with it, shouting "pow, pow" while aiming it! A boy will be a boy!

4 Generations of Henderson's. A Handsome family!

At MeMe's house for Christmas.

Here he is telling Presley about her scooter. He was so serious about it!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving!!! For starters I didn't have to be at work at 3:30am the day after Thanksgiving, and also I got to see family that I haven't seen in over a decade! I didn't get many pictures, I wish I had gotten more, but I will be able to get them next time, because we are not going to wait until our kids are in junior high before we see each other again! My Grandmother, aka "Nana", and Grandpa both drove down to Amarillo from North Carolina to visit my Aunt Debbie, Uncle Stan, Melanie and her family and Jennifer and her family. My Aunt Pam and her husband also came down. It was a lot of fun. Rowan really seemed like he had known everyone his whole 16 months and had no problem fitting in. Emma and him would play and fight like they grew up together! It was a trip that was long overdo, I cant wait to see everyone again.

Its been a while

Sorry its been so long since I last updated the blog. I know that you big fans out there have been disappointed :)! Between Thanksgiving, then finals and then Christmas, the computer has gotten a little dusty, and unfortunately so has the camera. I did get a few pics and I will post them, I just wanted to send out an apology.

Halloween

We had a quiet Halloween. Dressed up for about 20 minutes and passed out candy. I didnt get that many pics because we were having too much fun to remember the camera. But our little man was so cute in his Monkey costume

Aiden's in Town!!!

Ok I have to share! One of my closest friends has moved to Tulsa. It has been 7 years of seeing each other a couple of times a year, so needless to say I am so excited and happy that she is here! This is her new little boy, Gabe, he is going to be Rowan's buddy. Right now Rowan is a little jealous, but he will come around. They are only 9 months apart, so I am sure that there will be good times and bad!!

Oklahoma State Fair

We headed off to the State Fair. Rowan was in amazement of all the lights, noises and people. His favorite part was the petting zoo. It was mine too, free and enclosed so he could run around without worries. He loved the animals. He was running around yelling and pointing. If there was something he wanted to see, he would push people out of the way. He kept tripping and falling face first, and he didnt even miss a beat. He was the show of the petting zoo for the adults. His favorite were the bunnies, it took me forever to get him to move on. He kept coming back to them as well.

He wasnt too sure about the fair at this point.

This just makes him seem so big.

He wasnt afraid of anything. One parent said if I let him loose in there with the animals he would probably just chase them all!!! No doubt, he was in his element.

Nature Center at Ft. Gibson Lake

The cabin

Wes' family has some property with a cabin, it is a beautiful place to visit and explore. We try to get out there often this time of year because the weather is also beautiful. Anyway, we took the family out last weekend; Wes, Me, Rowan and Rocky, we also took a couple of friends, Bobby and Amber. We had a lot of fun.

Rowan, Amber and I are taking the Ranger to look at the horses and drive around the property. He is such a big boy. He fell asleep on the way back, even on that dirt, rocky, road. He is an outdoors kinda guy!

Playing in the dirt! All boy!

My two boys are worn the heck out. This was our trip home.

Playtime!

Rowan knows how to have fun and I try to capture as much as I can with my camera. Makes me wish I was a little one again! These are fun!!

Rowan and Uncle Jaik reading a book. Rowan loves to read and brings about 20 books a day to whoever is willing to read to him.

A luxury that Mom doesnt allow very often. Can you tell that he was not letting go of that cone!

This has turned into a nightly routine. Get on the floor and shake every limb as fast as you can. And in the mean time laugh until you get the hiccups!

Grandpa finally made us get out the pool! Rowan had a blast. Mom had a blast soaking Grandpa too!

All pooped out!

Nothing is more fun than the good 'ol sock basket!

Fun filled weekends!!

We went to the zoo this weekend. It was fun but very hot, so we didnt stay too long. Rowan had the most fun at the playground. He was running around in the dirt, oh I am in for it when he is older!! Any way, here are a few fun pictures of our day.

Dad and Rowan checking out the Rhinos. Arent they sweet.

Momma and Rowan playing at the playground.

Chillin' in his stroller, this didnt last long!

We also went to the lake and spent a day on the boat with our friends Ryan and Lisa. It was long overdue, and we had a lot of fun. It was the first time that Rowan has seen a real duck and real fish. It was funny. I would give Rowan bread to feed to them and he would eat it! Maybe next year on that one.
